Red Bull Beat Riders 2004/2006/2007

Thirty gifted street warriors traveled from as far away as Finland
to camp Woodward West in Stallion Springs, California, to
attend the Red Bull Beat Riders, a seven-day immersion into the
world of urban dance. Days were spent attending lectures and
demonstrations by a variety of Urban Dance legends while
students spent their nights practicing with one another in a world
class gymnasium. The variety of backgrounds and dance styles served
as both a challenge and inspiration to the mix of international students.

Project Ahimsa-June 3rd
Metreon Global Sight and Sound is the Largest Indoor World Music Benefit Event in California.
In its fourth year, Global Sight & Sound annually attracts over 1500 to experience the
best in world music and culture to the Metreon, a Sony Entertainment Center located in
downtown San Francisco.

Project Ahimsa, based in San Francisco, creates and supports innovative
music education programs in communities ravaged by violence worldwide.
To date, the organization has raised over $50,000 to support salaries for
music teachers, purchase musical instruments, and provide human capital
support to impoverished children throughout India (Kolkata and Ahmedabad)
and domestically (NYC and Hunters Point, SF).

get in to the discos because they were underage.Nightclubs have now
taken the place of the discos and kids still can't get in. Vinyl Kombat

The Vowel Movement
The Vowel Movement was created to support the art of beatboxing
in the Bay Area and beyond. Each month The Vowel Movement
features some of the best beatboxers in the Bay Area; sets up
collaborations with instrumentalists, vocalists, poets, breakdancers,
and other performers; and provides an open mike for new talent.
When you are in The Bay this is something you should check out.
There is nothing like it anywhere else.
